At Island Boats, we strive to meet the three key areas we believe are essential to a quality vessel. These three key areas are:
|
Quality Design
A high quality design is the result of combining progressive thinking with lessons
of the past. At Island Boats we combine computer lofting, fairing and parts
generation with numerically controlled plasma cutting and forming. We streamline
our projects to maintain delivery and reduced costs. Ask your engineer if his
design process will include:

Quality Construction
The owner of our company is a licensed professional engineer whose major area
of study was structures and materials at Louisiana State University, an A&M
college. Our project managers are graduates of a state university in Industrial
Technology. Our workforce is comprised of individuals who have been involved
in the boat construction industry all of their lives. We utilize engineering
assets from the United States and worldwide. All of our welders are USCG/ABS
certified to approved welding procedures. Our workforce is comprised of metal
workers that are among the best in the world. Long experience with lightweight
aluminum structures and custom fabrication makes for tremendous efficiency in
the shop and shortens build times.
Quality Systems
If you combine a quality design and a quality hull, it is only as good as
the systems that support it. When purchasing your next vessel, you should ask
direct questions about your essential systems: steering, exhaust, bilge, main
propulsion and fuel. These questions should include:
Remember: Your business has enough variables in it already. The one thing you
must count on is that your piece of equipment will start every time you push
that button. The key to that is having quality systems in your vessel. Island
Boats is the provider that delivers.
